GOAL SETTING

How to Set and Achieve Your Goals.

OVERVIEW

Have you ever set a goal for yourself? A goal is something we want to accomplish that’s beyond where we currently are. Maybe you’ve set a goal to break a personal record for how fast you run. Or maybe it was to make a certain grade point average in school. No matter what goal you have set, the idea of a goal can be overwhelming. We find ourselves asking, “What if we don’t reach it? What if we fail? What if we end up making a fool of ourselves in the process?” Sometimes the fear of not accomplishing a goal can keep us from even trying. But what if a clear idea of what goes into creating a goal helped us to feel more empowered in the process? It doesn’t have to be as a complicated as we think. So as you consider the goals you have for yourself, keep this in mind: a goal will tell us where we want to go and what we want to do, giving us a sense of purpose and change.
